CHRISTMAS AT COIN 🎄
So, it’s upon us again. The season of family, festive cheer, and larger stomachs. We got plenty to tell you about what we have planned this year, my concern is you wont read to the bottom. Let’s get to it…
COIN CHRTSMAS QUIZ / 16th DECEMBER
It’s become a tradition, usually in Decmeber, we embark on an extremely not so difficuly quiz, plus of course the obligatory music round. THE FOOD! This year we have the added pleasure of having Tom McManus x Slap Dash Food in the kitchen, cooking up fried chicken, waffles & pumpkin pie. Tom is a senior chef at Erst in Manchester, prior he was Alistairs main guy at the Moorcock Inn in Norland. For those who haven’t had Toms food, its naughty, but seriously nice (yes I am proud of my christmas reference). Our full drinks menu will of course be available and bookings can now be made on the wesbite from 6pm to 7:15pm for quizzers, the quiz will begin around 7.30pm. NEW YEARS EVE 2024
Fondue all day, we also wanted to use the end of year event to pour one of our favourite producers by the glass all day. Jacques Lassaigne Champagne are a small holding grower/producer with just 3.5ha of old vine chardonnay, in the isolated village of Montgueux to the west of Troyes. Here there is a Cretaceous strata of chalk, 15 million years older than in the Côte des Blancs. Producing exclusively Blanc de Blanc champagne (chardonnay only) from some of the regions finest plots. Manu has made a conscious effort since the early 2000’s to elevate his wines to be amongst some of Champagnes best. Bookings are now live. We look forward to welcoming you.

As usual we are open the 23rd of December and Christmas eve, the following week we will also be open Monday the 30th and New Years Eve. We will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and the 2nd January. Fondue will be available alongside small plates on the 22nd, 23rd & 24th of December and 29th, 30th & 31st December.

FESTIVE WINE BOX
We will get straight to it… who wants to drink bad wine at Christmas? We know none of our lovely guests do. So we’ve taken the stress out of wine buying for the big day this year and put together a couple of select wine boxes showcasing some of our favourite producers. If you wish to order one of the below, just reply to this email. Payment will be required in full and the boxes will be ready to collect from COIN from the 13th of December.
